Watercolor Journal Techniques: Intermediate with Jessica Olberz Singleton 9/8-10/13 Mondays 2-4pm

During this 6 week series we will venture beyond the basics of watercolor into different ways of exploring and experimenting in watercolor journals.
Working in an art journal makes it easier to paint for ourselves apart from any goal or outcome, and yet the book itself becomes a tangible record of our creative experiments.
In addition to playing with basic watercolor supplies in our journals, we'll learn to work on black watercolor paper and explore adding gouache into our watercolor practice on both regular and black watercolor paper. Supply list.
This series will be taught through an abstract lens, though the methods and techniques can be applied to any watercolor style or subject. Participants are not required to take the beginning watercolor techniques class first, but should have basic working knowledge of the medium.
