Painting on black watercolor paper creates bold and dramatic results… if you are working with the correct paints.
In this workshop we will experiment with gouache on black watercolor paper. Gouache is opaque watercolor paint (pronounced goo-ash). We’ll also see how adding just a bit of white gouache to regular watercolor paints helps them to show up on the black paper in surprising ways.

 During this workshop we will experiment with these materials while creating multiple small pieces.  All levels are welcome. This class has the structure and guidance for anyone new to the process or materials, as well as room to explore.
