In this workshop, we will use acrylic paints, home made rakes and combs, and specially prepared papers to experience the ancient art of marbling. Students will learn to create multiple patterns from the simple and elegant stone to the eye popping nonpareil. We will also practice special effect processes such as Spanish Wave and the use of synthetic gall. By the end of the workshop, students will have made at least 10 marbled pieces.
